What early users say

Translated from reviews written in Korean.

I run my own business

Even at work I kept losing 10, 20 minutes at a time to YouTube and Instagram, so I installed it. People don’t change. Restricting your surroundings is the best way. Thank you!

Unreal

Honestly the design is really clean, and the way it just disarms the urge to slack off… relentless. Seriously relentless.

If you’re studying, just use it

I was always vibe coding lol, slacking off on my laptop at the café and again at home, never getting any studying done. With MonkMate there’s honestly nothing to do but study. It’s annoying, and that’s exactly why it’s the best.

Is MonkMate free?
It’s free on both iPhone and Mac, up to 1 hour 30 minutes at a time. To focus longer, you can subscribe to a Pro plan.
Can I really not turn it off?
On iOS 26.4 and later, turning off MonkMate’s access, deleting the app, and turning off Screen Time all need the passcode. The passcode is in the vault. When you lock it, have a friend enter their Apple Account for passcode recovery. Locked on your own, “Forgot Passcode?” in Settings lets your Apple Account set a new passcode. With a friend holding recovery, you can’t skip the wait. We can’t stop a device reset or a restore from a computer, though. The goal is friction strong enough for the urge to pass.
Is iOS 26.4 to 26.6 okay?
There are reports that Face ID can turn off MonkMate’s access on these versions. We’ll warn you when you create a vault, and we recommend updating to the latest iOS.
